Practice-oriented – Powerful – Reliable – Specialised
Hans Philip Walter, the original founder of Walter, started up the company in 1979 in Heilbronn. Back then, he was already developing drilling technology with deep-hole hammer drills and turbo flushing for difficult rock strata and with pressures of up to 25 bar.
These practice-oriented developments ensured that his products were seen as highly reliable and efficient. Walter rapidly stood out from the competitors in the sector of drilling technology.
After three decades of success and due to old age, he handed over the Walter company to Ralf Morath who had been familiar with drilling technology since he was a child in the family business. It was of great importance to Mr. Walter that the company continued to be managed in the same way that he had done.
In 2010, Ralf Morath and his team expanded the company to focus on specialised civil engineering as Walter Bohr- und Injektionstechnik GmbH. The delivery program comprises deep-hole hammer drills, turbo flushers, accessories such as drill bits and tools, and anchor technology.
Their expertise and experience gained from situations on site and feedback from customers allowed the Walter team to develop automatic concrete spraying technology in the sector of specialised civil engineering and rock stabilisation. This new technology replaced the old hand spraying technology. As today, aspects back then were focused on cost-effectiveness, quality improvement, more safety for workers, more efficiency and environmental friendliness.
